At 5 Little Ducks Bath Bombs, we're committed to transparency. Below you'll find detailed information about the ingredients we use across our products.
Activated Charcoal
A fine, porous powder known for its ability to draw out impurities and toxins from the skin. Used in select soaps and scrubs for deep cleansing and detoxifying benefits.
Aqua (Water)
Purified water used as a base in select formulations to help blend and activate ingredients.
Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)
A gentle, naturally derived powder that reacts with citric acid to create the fizzing effect in our bath bombs. It softens water and helps soothe and cleanse skin.
Bio Glitter
An eco-friendly, biodegradable glitter made from plant-based cellulose. It adds sparkle to your bath without harming the environment.
Bromelain
A natural enzyme derived from pineapple that gently dissolves dead skin buildup without scratching or irritating. It promotes a smoother, more even-toned complexion.
Brown Sand
A natural, fine-grained mineral exfoliant used in select scrub soaps to provide a deep mechanical polish. It helps remove dead skin cells and leaves skin feeling refreshed.
Candy Sprinkles
Fun, decorative elements used on the outside of select bath bombs. They dissolve safely in bath water and add a playful, colorful touch.
Canola Oil
A lightweight, skin-friendly oil used in cold-process soap making. It contributes to a conditioning lather and helps keep skin soft and moisturized.
Citric Acid
A naturally occurring acid found in citrus fruits. When combined with baking soda and water, it creates the signature fizz. It also helps balance skin pH and acts as a mild exfoliant.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine
A mild, coconut-derived surfactant that helps create foam and conditions the skin. It also helps reduce irritation from other cleansing agents.
Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera)
A deeply moisturizing oil that nourishes and softens skin. It helps lock in moisture and leaves skin feeling silky after your bath.
Hydrolyzed Collagen
A skin-loving protein that supports a plump, bouncy post-wash feel. It works alongside moisturizing ingredients to help skin feel supple and hydrated after cleansing.
Colorants (FDA / FD&C / Lake Dyes)
We use cosmetic-grade colorants approved by the FDA for use in bath and body products, including:
- Red 27 Lake
- Red 40 Lake
- Blue Lake 1 (FD&C Blue No. 1)
- Yellow 6 Lake
- Yellow 5 Lake
These colorants are water-soluble and rinse away easily. They are used in very small amounts to achieve vibrant bath water colors.
Cosmetic Grade Glitter
A skin-safe, cosmetic-grade glitter used to add a touch of sparkle to select bath products. It is approved for cosmetic use and rinses away easily.
Dead Sea Salt
A mineral-rich salt harvested from the Dead Sea, known for its exceptionally high concentration of magnesium, calcium, and potassium. It deeply exfoliates, detoxifies, and helps balance skin moisture.
Decyl Glycoside
A gentle, plant-based surfactant derived from coconut and corn. It cleanses without irritating and is suitable for all skin types.
Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulfate)
A mineral compound known for its relaxing and soothing properties. It helps ease muscle tension and supports skin hydration.
Essential Oils
Pure plant-derived oils used for natural scent and aromatherapy benefits. Varieties used include lavender, eucalyptus, and others depending on the product.
Fragrance / Phthalate-FREE Fragrance
We use carefully selected fragrances that are free from phthalates — chemicals often used in synthetic scents that we choose to avoid. Our fragrances are skin-safe and chosen to delight the senses.
Goat's Milk
Rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins, and natural lactic acid, goat's milk gently exfoliates while deeply moisturizing. It helps maintain the skin's natural moisture barrier and is ideal for all skin types.
Ground Oatmeal (Colloidal Oats)
Finely milled oats known for their soothing and skin-softening properties. They help calm irritation, gently exfoliate, and leave skin feeling smooth and nourished.
Iron Oxide
A naturally occurring mineral pigment used as a cosmetic colorant in select products. It is skin-safe and approved for use in cosmetics.
Isopropyl Alcohol
Used in small amounts as a binder in bath bomb formulations to help hold the shape without triggering premature fizzing.
Kaolin Clay (White Clay)
A gentle white clay that helps draw out impurities and soften skin without stripping natural oils. Ideal for sensitive skin types.
Menthol Crystals
Naturally derived from mint oils, menthol crystals provide a cooling, refreshing sensation. Used in shower steamers to create an invigorating aromatherapy experience.
Meringue Powder
Used decoratively in some of our bath products to create a whipped, dessert-inspired look. It is cosmetic-grade and skin-safe.
Mica
A naturally occurring mineral used to add shimmer and pearlescent color to select bath products. It is cosmetic-grade, skin-safe, and rinses away easily.
Moroccan Clay (Red Clay)
A mineral-rich clay sourced from Morocco, known for its gentle detoxifying and oil-balancing properties. It helps draw out impurities while leaving skin feeling soft and refreshed.
All Natural Colorant
In select products, we use plant-based or mineral-derived colorants as a natural alternative to synthetic dyes.
Olive Pomace Oil
A skin-conditioning oil derived from the olive fruit. It is rich in fatty acids and helps moisturize and soften skin, making it a popular ingredient in cold-process soaps.
PEG-150
A water-soluble thickener and emulsifier that helps blend ingredients together smoothly and improves product texture.
Peppermint Leaves
Dried peppermint leaves used as a natural botanical exfoliant in select scrub soaps. They provide a gentle texture for buffing away dead skin cells and contribute a fresh, cooling herbal scent.
Pine Tar
A traditional, natural ingredient derived from pine wood. It has long been used for its skin-soothing and cleansing properties, and lends a distinctive, woodsy scent to select soap bars.
Polysorbate 80
An emulsifier that helps oils and colorants disperse evenly in bath water, preventing bathtub rings and keeping skin moisturized.
Potassium Bicarbonate
A gentle leavening agent similar to baking soda, used to enhance the fizzing action in some of our formulations.
Powdered Milk
A gentle, skin-softening ingredient rich in proteins and lactic acid. It helps soothe and condition the skin, contributing to a creamy, nourishing lather in cold-process soaps.
Rhassoul Clay
A rare, mineral-rich clay sourced from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. It is prized for its exceptional ability to absorb excess oil and impurities while leaving skin feeling silky and balanced.
Rose Petals
Dried rose petals used as a natural, decorative element in select bath bombs. They add a romantic, botanical touch and are skin-safe.
Rosehips
Dried rosehip powder rich in Vitamin C, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids. It helps brighten skin tone, target dullness, and support a more even complexion.
Sea Salt
Rich in minerals, sea salt helps detoxify and exfoliate the skin, leaving it feeling smooth and refreshed.
Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii)
A rich, creamy butter derived from the shea tree. It deeply moisturizes and soothes dry skin, and is known for its anti-inflammatory properties.
SLSA (Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate)
A gentle, plant-derived surfactant that creates a rich, bubbly lather. It is skin-safe and much milder than Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS).
Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate
A mild, coconut-derived surfactant that creates a creamy lather and is gentle on sensitive skin.
Sodium Hydroxide (Lye)
A necessary ingredient in the cold-process soap making process. Through saponification, lye reacts completely with oils and is not present in the finished soap bar.
Soybean Oil
A nourishing, skin-conditioning oil used in cold-process soap making. It contributes to a creamy lather and helps keep skin soft and hydrated.
Sugar
Used as a gentle exfoliant and decorative element in some of our bath products.
Sunflower Oil
A lightweight, skin-conditioning oil rich in Vitamin E. It absorbs easily and helps keep skin soft and hydrated.
Tin Oxide
A cosmetic-grade mineral used to add a bright, pearlescent shimmer to select products. It is skin-safe and approved for cosmetic use.
Titanium Dioxide
A naturally occurring mineral used as a white colorant and to enhance the brightness of colors in select products. It is cosmetic-grade and skin-safe.
Vitamin C Powder (Ascorbic Acid)
A stabilized form of Vitamin C used to brighten skin tone and target dullness. It works synergistically with rosehips and bromelain to support a more radiant, even complexion.
Zea Mays (Corn Starch)
A fine, naturally derived powder used to create a silky, smooth texture in select bath products. It helps absorb moisture and leaves skin feeling soft.
Zinc Oxide
A naturally occurring mineral used for its skin-soothing and protective properties. It helps calm irritation and is safe for sensitive skin.
